Paintings

I work in a variety of painting mediums and enjoy the various benefits of each.  I am drawn to portraits and like to infuse a healthy dose of humor in my work whenever possible.

I work with three basic quilting techniques - pieced, applique and woven panels.  I enjoy using sheer fabrics to allow for transparencies, and I often like to embellish a piece with hand stitching and notions.

I enjoy exploring the sculptural possibilities of fiber arts, and building compositions in 3 dimensions.  I am intrigued by the interplay of light on translucent materials, which for me introduces the topics of time and perpetual change.
