These paintings were all inspired by original small cut-paper collages that I made in response to various prompts. The paintings enlarge the strips of color dramatically, which allowed for careful attention to color, texture and pattern. The large size also provided an opportunity to develop a new overriding theme that was not a part of the original collage.
